Service Provider Arrangements
A service provider is any organization that has entered into an agreement with a reporting entity to send reports to FINTRAC on the reporting entity's behalf.
The process for a reporting entity to delegate reporting to a service provider is done within the Administration section in F2R and involves both the reporting entity and the service provider.
First, a service provider needs to be enrolled with FINTRAC for electronic reporting. Next, they need to get a service provider number. The service provider then needs to give their service provider number to their reporting entity client.
Once the reporting entity gets that service provider number, the reporting entity has to designate the service provider and delegate the report types to be sent by the service provider on the reporting entity's behalf.
Once the service provider has accepted the reporting entity's delegation, the service provider will be able to begin reporting on the reporting entity's behalf.
